Posted on: February 3rd, 2015 by admin No Comments

Can the Chiropractic Services in Town Help Me Lose Weight?Losing weight is something that we all strive for throughout our lifetimes, even if we don’t happen to be that overweight. The only thing you can take away from not losing weight is the fact that you aren’t making any progress, and in some cases you actually stop losing weight no matter how hard you try. This would be called “the wall” of weight loss, and it’s where you’ve lost so much weight that your body needs a bit of time before it can lose anymore. This is attributed to things like your metabolism or mental health as well, but you can also consider taking a visit to the chiropractors office too. Now we’re always going to be talking about those fad diets that stick around for way too long, but have you ever heard about getting chiropractic help to deal with your weight loss troubles? The chiropractor can actually help you with more illnesses than you would think, they aren’t just there to make sure that you’re back and joints are completely fine. Chiropractic centres also have the ability to give you things like nutritional recommendations, which you can turn around and use to lose that weight you’ve always wanted to drop. It’s tough to do, but a chiropractic service that’s professional should be able to assist you.

Weight loss is going to draw in an entirely different type of crowd, for the mot part its people whom are desperate enough to try anything and everything. People will buy up all of those pesky little supplement brands (that are usually just placebos most of the time) in the hopes that they’ll somehow manage to lose the weight. The thing is that people don’t want to work for anything these days, whether it be money or a nice body to call your own. Talk to your chiropractor about your weight loss needs if you’re trying to make a big difference in your life, odds are they will be able to point you in the right direction. You need to start your journey to a lower weight with a specific goal in mind, so try to keep a goal that you can actually achieve at hand. Make sure it;s something like lose ten pounds in a month or something like that, you don’t want to over exert yourself at all (especially if you’re just getting into the habit of weight loss).

weight-loss-blueberries-wikiThere are many foods that have been declared functional foods. But what are these foods and which ones will benefit you the most? In 2009, the American Dietetic Association released a statement that said enriched, fortified, and enhanced foods can be beneficial to a person’s health when they are consumed as part of a varied diet. This is good news for many. When these foods are combined with chiropractic care and other medical interventions designed to improve your health and well-being, your lifestyle improves.

Basically, functional foods are foods that are nutritious and offer certain health benefits. For instance, a functional food may provide biologically active components or extra essential nutrients that promote healthy body functions. When going through any kind of physical care regimen, such as that administered by a chiropractor, eating right can contribute to the success of that therapy.

The following are the five most functional foods today:

  1. Oats – The fiber content is high. Fiber is known for fighting disease and helping with digestion. It also helps lower the risk for heart disease, high cholesterol, cancer, and diabetes. The average amount of fiber that Americans get each day is around 15 grams, but 30 grams per day is needed to effectively fight disease.
  2. Salmon – Salmon is well-known for the fact it contains omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 lowers the bad LDL cholesterol weight-loss-Oatmeal-wikiand raises the good HDL cholesterol. This can lower the risk of heart attack and stroke. The American Heart Association suggests that individuals with coronary heart disease around 1 gram of omega-3 fatty acids per day.
  3. Low-fat milk – Calcium and vitamin D are very important in lowering blood pressure, which helps keep the heart beat regular and contributes to the building of strong bones. Your chiropractor will tell you that strong bones are very important. Most Americans are not getting enough calcium and vitamin D. It has been found that vitamin D has a great number of health benefits, such as the prevention of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
  4. Blueberries – Blueberries contain antioxidants and they are thought to help protect the body against free radicals and the chronic diseases associated with them.
  5. Low-fat yogurt – Probiotics are contained in low fat yogurt. Probiotics live in your digestive system and this will keep them healthy.

Whether you are undergoing chiropractic care or another type of medical care, ask your doctor about the foods that can help your specific situation.

Things That Might Be Preventing Your Weight Loss

Weight loss Brandon treatmentWhen you’re trying to lose weight, it’s imperative that you be honest with yourself. Honest about your motivations and honest about your food decisions. If you fail to do these things, you could sabotage your weight loss efforts. Don’t let this happen to you!

One thing people tend to do is tell themselves that that know how much they’re eating. That is, they think they only eat when they’re hungry and they instinctively know when to stop because they’re full. But this just isn’t true! In fact, people tend to think they’re eating when they’re hungry when they’re actually not–they’re eating out of social obligation or for emotional fulfillment.

Another thing people claim is that they don’t drink a lot when they actually do. They think that only drinking on the weekends counts as moderation but if you drink a whole bottle of wine in one sitting or binge drink, you could be ruining your weight loss efforts.  Instead of binge drinking, attempt moderation on a daily basis, regardless if it’s the weekend or not. Dr. Oz on HCG Weight Loss

Posted on: June 12th, 2013 by admin 1 Comment

weight loss with HCG A bit ago, Dr. Oz did an episode about HCG and how it can contribute to weight loss. Let’s take some time now to talk about that episode and what he found out to be the truth on the subject of HCG weight loss.

Many diets built around this hormone promise that you can lose a pound a day. This can result in a significant amount of weight loss in a very short period of time. However, Dr. Oz was skeptical so he looked into it further. First, he looked at the history of the hormone. It was first attributed to weight loss in the 1950s, where it was found that HCG, or the hormone produced during pregnancy to ensure the fetus gets enough nutrients, help to the body metabolize fat faster. It also acts as an appetite suppressant, making it much easier for people to adhere to the strict low-calorie diet portion of this weight loss plan. Often, people have to stick to a diet of just 500 calories a day, which is much lower than what is typically recommended by doctors. (more…)

1.What is HCG?

HCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. It’s often referred to as the pregnancy hormone, but it’s actually not a hormone at all. It’s actually a grouping of 244 amino acids that help to increase the amount of sex hormones in the body. It’s a trigger of sorts  that encourages the body to produce more estrogen if you’re a woman or testosterone if you’re a man.

2. What are the origins of its study?

HCG was first discovered in 1926. It was found in the placenta of pregnant women and could actually be collected and extracted from the urine. When a woman is pregnant, the amount of these collected amino acids double every two days. It helps to use fat more proactively and efficiently for the mother and the fetus. It’s an automatic energy reserve.

3. What is its role in medicine?

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin was first used as a medical treatment in 1954 as a weight loss supplement. HCG was administered to people via injection in very small amounts to promote weight loss, specifically from the abdominal area. This came to be known as The HCG Diet. In combination with a low-fat and low-calorie diet, the body can use abdominal fat for energy and help to burn it away more efficiently.

4. Is it safe to use HCG?

Yes. It is absolutely safe. Extremely high levels of it are found in pregnant women and they are no ill effects because of it. Only a small fraction of it is used in the diet, so side effects are not in any way anticipated. In fact, only positive effects have been reported, with many people on the diet showing a significant amount of weight loss in fairly short periods of time. This diet works for many people who haven’t found success with other programs.

That’s all for now. Be sure to check back in again next week to learn more about this hormone that’s not a hormone and why it’s so effective at helping people to lose weight. Until then, we hope you have a lovely week!

Trying to lose weight can be difficult, especially if you’re jumping from diet to diet and exercise plan to exercise plan. Thankfully, human chorionic gonadotropin or hCG is a hormone that may help. Let’s first talk about what it is then we’ll move onto how it can help with losing weight.

hCG is a human hormone that is released by a fertilized egg after conception. The placenta also produces this hormone. It’s a natural substance, naturally produced by the body. However, synthetic versions can be produced for use in supplements for use in hCG weight loss.

Clinically, hCG is used to induce ovulation in women and testosterone production in men. It’s a wonderful resource. So wonderful, in fact, that some organizations out there make it a habit of collecting pregnant women’s urine so they can get the hCG out of it and use it in fertility treatments. Now, that one sounds a bit crazy but it’s absolutely true. (more…)
